Certain environments limit a child's boundaries, obligating them to follow a predetermined path. While this may provide a stable lifestyle for youth, it confines them within prescribed limits. However, youth are meant to be explored and should be encouraged to attempt to escape their comfort zones repeatedly. This is the foundation for their development and the gateway to generating creative ideas that can change the world. In this painting, I have portrayed this idea using goldfish. Goldfish are known to grow to the size of their tank; if they are well cared for, they will never stop growing. Similarly, if our current or previous generation imposes limits on the next generation's boundaries, like goldfish trapped inside bubble wrap, they will grow only as far as their constraints allow. Like the large goldfish in the background, we should allow youth to explore freely and develop their ideas.

In a world full of humans attempting to achieve certain goals in life, whether they be significant or not, there is the inevitable fear we feel in the process- being afraid to not be selected in the near future among the many that are alike. "" portrays the opposite perspective of putting yourself in the shoes of everyday objects that we choose to use that ultimately, like this painting, represents us in this society, as well as myself in a school uniform. It seems that many of us tend to be afraid of what may be, such as being selected in the workforce or school. In terms of myself and others of my age, we try to survive as best as possible through the help of constant medical assistance and the small hope of leading into a better life.

Since I was young, my frequent visits to the beach made me realize how much of a toxic impact humans have on the ocean. Countless pieces of trash drift down to the ocean floor, causing immense pain and suffering to the creatures living there, to the point where they can hardly endure without our help. Just as we hold funerals when a human life ends, I wanted to hold a funeral for the sea creatures as well. With this work, I wanted to ensure that these beautiful beings, which we are losing due to our carelessness, do not have to face their final journey alone.

The artwork titled "Ripples in Time" captures the delicate interplay between the past, present, and future. Through the metaphor of ripples, the painting reflects how even the smallest actions and events send waves through time , influencing what is yet to come. The flowing lines and shifting colors suggest a sense of movement, illustrating the continuous, yet unpredictable nature of time. This work is about inner changes we experience as we grow and the comfort we find along the way. As children grow into adults, most of them lose their true selves and live in masks. They wear white animal masks to represent innocence and the desire to preserve their identity. The cactus’ thorns mean the wounds I’ve suffered as I’ve matured. That is why I made a mask to protect myself. However, I received comfort from seeing the cactus embrace thorns and live as one with vitality. When I was having a hard time, I would go to a lake with an end that seemed to mean an answer, thinking in front of the lake was a comforting time. The atypical shapes growing out of the lake are the questions I pondered while thinking. By solving questions, I expressed my determination not to lose my identity. Lastly, I hope that my work will remind you of the beings that comfort you, and it will also comfort you.

“Penguin Lady” is a work that expresses awareness of the environmental crisis in modern society in a humorous and conciliatory way. The woman feels comfortable in the warm heat of the sauna, but the penguin that replaces her head is a metaphor for global warming. Through the fleeting moments we observe the work and ponder the subtle but deep relationship between the two species. In the background of the work, there is a photo of a glacier before its melting, which recalls the beauty of the past and superficially shows the change of environment. The work makes us reflect the responsibility that comes with it through the contrast between comfort in a sauna and environmental destruction, and makes us think about the environmental crisis that future generations will face. The comfort of the warmth of the sauna and the resulting anxiety intersect, making us consider the impact of our current actions on the future.

This painting is a reinterpretation of the original work by Frank Bernard Dicksee. The young man depicted in the painting is a person who sacrificed his life and died in the war. His lover, the woman in the painting, aged while longing for him. Although the man remembers the woman as being young, when they reunited, she had aged alone, with the marks of time visible on her. This painting, therefore, expresses the feelings of those who sacrificed their lives in the war for tomorrow, for the future, and the emotions of the families who longed for them and continue to live on.

“Surrender My Tensions” symbolizes the moment when the psychological barriers we maintain are finally breached. Much like the surface tension in water, which holds everything in place until the pressure becomes too great, this piece captures the very instant when those forces give way. As the surface tension breaks, the resulting flow signifies the release of suppressed emotions. Through this work I probe the duality of CONTROL and SURRENDER, TENSION and RELEASE.
