I wanted to present the phrase "things get worse before they get better" into the piece, to reflect my views of the uncertain future. The dark woods, which symbolizes circumstances which seem as if they're drenched in misery, a bright hope lies beyond it. It's light shining through the dense branches, guiding ones who are lost. Nothing is forever, and the woods are not endless, even if it may feel like it, allowing for hope to remain that life finds a balance. The translucent figures represent anyone who might be lost in a hopeless situation, being able to find light and hope for a better times to come.

This painting is an anthropomorphic examination of how increasing ocean pollution disrupts nature’s peaceful rhythms.  Just as a human expel poisonous food or drink, so too the ocean expel the polluted materials it receives. The background contains clouds resembling nostrils and the sun resemblinThg a human mouth. The shape of the sun’s mouth, the crashing waves, the piles of garbage and the darker tones combine to invoke the act of human emesis and create a dystopian mood.

'희망'에서는 배경과 중간에 있는 꽃의 대비를 강조하여 디스토피아적인 면과 유토피아적인 면이 조화롭게 공존하는 것을 부각시켰습니다. 꽃은 배경과 같이 다소 막막하고 절망적인 상황에서도 자신을 인내해주는 힘인 "희망"의 요소로 상징 시켰습니다.

How will the agricultural industry evolve in the future? I've been investigating various AI systems used in farming, and I was particularly interested in automated harvesting. Computers are employed to determine crop sizes, colors, and forms more accurately than people. Robots are already being utilized well for weeding and harvesting, and this business will expand and benefit future generations. I depict a robot harvesting ripe tomatoes, and this type of activity will become more prevalent in the future.

In creating this artwork, I strove to depict the pressure I sometimes feel whenever I express my own thoughts and emotions, one that comes from the fear of judgment from others. For this artwork, oil paint was used in order to effectively capture people attempting to reach me, symbolizing the casting of opinions. This is juxtaposed with a self-portrait where I am depicted covering my face, reflecting the inclination to hide my true self. To showcase the disdainful and unfriendly judgment from some people, I decided to use cold, monotone colors for the hands. In stark contrast, I utilized more vibrant and vivid colors to make myself stand out from the surrounding environment. This use of different colors creates a visual tension, which resembles the struggle between external pressures for conformity and internal desires for self-preservation and expression.

나에게 있어 ‘내일‘이라 누구에게나 가지고 있는, 그러나 잠재되어 있어 아직은 미지의 무한한 가능성을 펼칠수 있는 도화지라고 생각한다. 아무리 절망적인 상황이라도 대지에 뿌리를 내린 나무와 꽃들은 셀 수 없는 색의 다채로움으로 표현되어 더 나은 내일을 알리는 꿈과 희망이다. 이 그림의 어둡고 조금은 암울하기도 한 배경과 대비되는 순수한 생명들의 따뜻함과 푸르름은 희망을 품은 파장으로 극대화되어, 꿈을 안고 되돌아오는 메아리와 함께 희망의 봄을 소망해 본다.

이 작품은 강렬한 색채와 대담한 수채화 기법을 통해 시간과 인간의 감정이 복잡하게 얽힌 관계를 탐구하고자 하는 먀음을 표현했습니다. 인물의 머리에 붙어 있는 다양한 크기의 시계들은 단순히 시간의 흐름만을 상징하는 것이 아니라, 그 안에 담긴 기억과 감정을 나타냅니다. 시간은 과거와 현재를 연결하는 매개체로서 끊임없이 흐르며 사람의 삶을 형성하지만, 이 그림에서는 시계들이 얼굴을 완전히 가림으로써, 시간 속에 갇힌 인간의 모습을 극적으로 드러냅니다. 얼굴이 보이지 않는다는 것은 인물이 자신의 감정을 표현하지 못하거나, 잃어버린 기억과 고통, 후회 속에 스스로를 가두고 있다는 의미를 내포합니다. 시계들이 각각 다른 크기를 지니고 있는 것은 시간의 무게와 그것이 인물에게 미치는 영향을 상징합니다. 큰 시계는 인물이 결코 잊지 못할 중대한 사건이나 기억을, 작은 시계는 일상 속에서 스쳐 지나가는 사소한 기억들을 의미할 수 있습니다. 이 모든 시계들이 얽혀 얼굴을 가리고 있는 모습은 이러한 기억들이 복합적으로 얽혀 인물의 현재를 지배하고 있음을 시사합니다. 강렬한 색채는 시간과 기억이 인물의 감정에 미치는 영향을 시각적으로 드러내며, 이는 그림을 감상하는 이에게 강한 인상을 남깁니다. 붉은색이나 짙은 파란색, 어두운 색조는 고통과 후회, 슬픔과 같은 감정을 표현하고, 이와 대조적으로 밝은 색채는 잃어버린 기억에 대한 희미한 그리움이나 희망을 나타낼 수 있습니다. 이 작품은 시간에 의해 형성되고 억눌리는 인간의 복잡한 내면을 표현한 것으로, 시간이라는 추상적 개념이 개인의 정체성을 어떻게 형성하고 때로는 왜곡시킬 수 있는지를 깊이 탐구합니다. 얼굴을 감추고 있는 시계들은 이러한 내면의 혼란을 극적으로 표현하며, 관람자로 하여금 시간의 흐름 속에서 자신의 감정과 기억이 어떻게 변해왔는지를 돌아보게 만듭니다. 이 작품은 시간이 주는 고통과 그것을 극복하고자 하는 인간의 끊임없는 노력과 갈망을 담고 있는 강렬한 메시지를 전달합니다.

‘Metamorphosis in Time’ explores the notion of ‘Echoes of Tomorrow’ by depicting a scene of transformation and metamorphosis, creating a blend of nature and human influence in the center of the artwork. The work portrays a vibrant, surreal-like scene that delivers the co-existence of organic and artificial, where this symbolizes the continuous cycle of influence and fluctuating future that lies ahead. The large, striped caterpillar rests upon a glowing cocoon, receiving a light that speaks room for the mystery and ambivalence that exists in the interdependence of nature and human influence. Emerging from the cocoon is a butterfly; its wings glowing with the hope and promise of what is awaiting in the future. The transformation from the caterpillar to the butterfly acts as a metaphor for echoes into tomorrow, connecting to growth and the passage of time that occurs for both nature and humanity.

My thoughts about the future automatically sparks an idea of the development and frequent uses of technology. Although technology has helped us humans in many ways and will continue to develop in the future, many teens like me misuse the advantages provided by technology and get attached to tools such as social media. There is a saying that the more we spend time online the more we fade away from reality and from the people we are with, but most importantly ourselves. If we continue to abuse the tools that technology provides for us, and specifically social media platforms, it may lead us to becoming lost within ourselves and faded apart from reality. My work displays a cracked grey sculpture which represents the crisis we are trapped in from the overuse of technology, while the phones represent technology. Furthermore, the colorful and more realistic representation of parts of the human face represent how we look put together and organized, but only on social media and not in reality.

This work visualizes the positive influences that art culture has on the world. Many roots that started from several artworks formed a large tree, and on the tree, positive elements that can be easily found in everyday life, such as books, birdhouses, nests, clocks, light bulbs, and doors, were placed, conveying the meaning that what art gives us is not something very special, but peace in our daily lives. These trees come together, one by one, to form a large forest.

횡단보도는 우리가 삶을 살아가는 길이다. 또한, 그림에 있는 덩굴, 빌딩, 우주는 삶에서 일어나는 일들을 뜻한다. 덩굴들이 복잡하게 꼬여있으므로 우리가 살면서 부딪히는 일들을 뜻하고 빌딩과 우주에 있는 은하수는 희망과 기대를 뜻한다. 이것처럼, 우리는 미래에 어떤 일이 일어날지 모르는데 계속해서 삶을 지속하는 의미를 가지고있다.

'Maestro el Creador' 는 창조와 통제, 음악과 죽음 간의 복잡한 관계를 강렬하게 표현한 작품입니다. 중심에 위치한 인물은 '창조자'를 상징하며, 바이올린의 현을 조작하여 생명을 조율하는 모습을 보여줍니다. 옆의 해골은 또 다른 바이올린을 들고 있으며, 이는 삶과 죽음, 예술과 소멸의 이중성을 대조적으로 드러냅니다. 배경을 흐르는 피아노 건반은 음악이라는 시간과 공간을 초월한 언어를 상징합니다. 이 작품은 생동감 있는 색채와 극적인 요소를 통해 창작의 자유와 존재의 제약 사이의 균형에 대해 성찰하도록 관객을 초대합니다.

In this painting, a young girl stands in front of a large, pink wall, with its surface torn and fragmented. The wall represents the protection from societal expectations during youth. As she matures, the vast eyes above symbolize the inevitable pressures and norms she will face. Holding up a puzzle piece, the girl’s gesture can be seen as either an active attempt to confront these expectations or as a sign of fear, trying to hide from them. The painting captures the universal experience of growing up, embodying the blend of wonder and anxiety that accompanies the transition from innocence to the complex realities of adulthood.

As a person, we can show and improvo our talent. However, by facing the reality such as a job and financial issue we might not be able to find our beauty. On the drawing, the flower represent our talent and potential which were usually surpressed by ourself and other factors. The suit is the factor. wile most company required employees to be uniformed which influence our creativity. By drawing this art work, I want to mention that even though we might get a job and lose our creativity, we are the persson who have a talent and potential to be a better person.

In my artwork, I chose to depict myself surrounded by a bunch of flowers intertwined with abstract patterns. The flowers symbolize growth, renewal, and the blossoming potential within each of us, while the abstract patterns represent the boundless possibilities and the unknown aspects of the future. Through this piece, I aim to convey how our inner creativity and unique perspectives can flourish into something beautiful and impactful.

 I wanted to show a child's dream where she is having a tea party with her favorite doll. To show how much the girl sees the doll as a friend, I made the doll the same size as the child. The scene is set in a dreamy, magical place, where the girl and her doll sit together at a small, pretty table with tea and treats. They share smiles and laughter, making the moment feel warm and full of friendship. This painting captures the simple joy and imagination of childhood, where even a toy can be a best friend in a dream. Through this scene, I aim to highlight how communication, even in the simplest forms like sharing tea with a doll, is a vital part of human connection, reflecting how children express their thoughts and emotions through play.
